The journey continues to the cinnamon gardens in the Southern district, where the finest Ceylon cinnamon is harvested. This true Ceylon cinnamon has a delicate, sweet warmth that perfectly complements the bold black tea without overpowering it.
To this foundation, we add dry ginger from the lush tropical forests, providing a gentle heat that awakens the senses. Cardamom pods from the misty hillsides lend their citrusy notes, while cloves from the spice islands contribute their distinctive aroma and warmth.
The blend is rounded out with peppercorns that add a subtle pungency, and star anise that imparts a sweet licorice note. This recipe has been perfected over three generations, balancing each component so that no single spice dominates, but rather creates a harmonious symphony of flavors.
