About Ceylon Cinnamon
Having walked the cinnamon gardens across Sri Lanka's southern districts, our team has learned that true Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) reveals its quality through subtle signs—the way each quill curls into delicate, tight rolls when properly dried, its distinctive pale golden-brown hue, and that sweet, complex aroma that permeates the air during morning harvests. Unlike the thicker, harder cassia cinnamon found in most supermarkets, our cinnamon separates into paper-thin layers that crumble easily, and contains only trace amounts of coumarin (typically 0.004%), making it safe for daily use in teas, baking, and family recipes.
